Management CommitteeChair - Stuart Croft, Inderjeet Parmar, Richard Jackson, Stephanie Carvin and BISA Administrator. This Committee covers the issues arising from the day to day running of the association. Finance CommitteeChair - Stephanie Carvin, Stuart Croft, Inderjeet Parmar, Richard Jackson and BISA administrator. This Committee covers the finaicial management of the association and matters arising in regard to our finances such as VAT registration. Also decides on allocation of the founders fund. Conference/Membership CommitteeChair - Richard Jackson, all elected and Conference Assistant. This Committee covers the conference organisation such as selecting which papers to include in the panels, who to invite as a plenary etc future conference format and also any membership issues that arise. Research CommitteeChair - Inderjeet Parmar, Tim Dunne, Jason Ralph, George Lawson, Laura Shepherd This Committee covers working group approval and funding allocation, workshops and their funding, Prizes - thesis, best article in RIS, Book prize and student conference bursary allocations plus relations withthe ISA and ESRC. Learning and Teaching CommitteeChair - Richard Jackson, Lee Marsden, Bela Arora, Ruth Blakeley, Adam Quinn, Steven Curtis(C-SAP) This Committee is exploring ways to promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning along with awarding the new BISA/C-SAP annual teaching prize. Diversity CommitteeChair - Stuart Croft, Bela Arora, Adam Quinn, Laura Shepherd, Jason Ralph This Committee was set up to mirror a similar committee at the PSA to enable both organisations to work together exploring ways to improve diversity in the profression and find ways of improving diversity and opportunities at all levels of the profession. Publications CommitteeChair- Inderjeet Parmar, Tim Dunne, George Lawson, Ruth Blakeley, Lee Marsden (with attendance from Publication editors Nick Wheeler and Nick Rengger and Publisher representation as needed) This Committee's aim is to recieve the reports from the editors of the journal and book series, to manage the process of securing new editors for the journal and to consider developing other publications. |
