Nominee statement I completed my ESRC-funded PhD at Bristol in 2006. I took up my current post as lecturer in IR at the University of Kent in January 2007. My publications include an article in RIS and a Routledge monograph. As a PhD student I benefitted enormously from mentoring by more senior BISA members via working groups and conferences. One of my current administrative roles at Kent is helping PhD students prepare for academic careers.
