Nominee Statement I am a Lecturer in International Relations at LSE, having previously taught at Goldsmiths, University of London. Over the past year, I have also served as a member of the BISA executive with special responsibility for working groups. Working groups form a core part of BISA's activities, serving as important points of reference between the executive and the broader membership. The group which I convene - on historical sociology and IR (www.historical-sociology.org) - is illustrative of other working groups in that it acts as a focal point for work in the field, hosts regular workshops and supports the organisation via providing papers and panels for its annual conference. As such, I would welcome the chance to further develop the ways in which working groups can make a difference to BISA while also helping to deliver benefits to its members.
