-

The main work of the conference takes place in panels starting on Thursday afternoon, Friday and Saturday morning. There will also be a keynote lecture on the Friday evening and a round table on Thursday. The Annual General Meeting will be held during the conference.

Cost of the Conference

We endeavour to keep the costs of the annual conference as low as possible. We provide additional financial assistance to BISA members and to postgraduate students.

Travel: We are unable to provide any assistance with travel costs.

Accommodation and Subsistence: Various packages and day rates are available. We charge standard delegates cost price for these. Postgraduate students are charged at a subsidised rate which is below cost price.

Futher details of the cost will be made available after the publication of the draft programme in spring/early summer 2020. At that point we will also open registration to enable delegates to register and pay.

Postgraduate and ECR Job Workshop at the Conference

The British International History Group has long provided a friendly and welcoming environment for Postgraduate Research Students and Early Career Researchers to share their work with the wider community of international historians. It is particularly eager to help foster the careers of PGRs and ECRs and has established a workshop to do this at its annual conference.

Details of the Workshop and how to apply will be announced later 2020. Please check back for the latest information.
