The call is open for papers for the Intervention and Responsibility to Protect (IR2P) annual conference. The theme is reimagining the responsibility to protect to meet new challenges.

Recent global problems such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine have generated debates about the role of the responsibility to protect in meeting these new challenges. For this year's Working Group Annual Conference, We would like to invite papers that broadly address questions on the theme: reimagining the responsibility to protect to meet new challenges.

We invite abstracts from all scholars, including PhD candidates. The deadline for abstracts is 9 September 2022.  Abstracts should be sent to the WG's email address: ir2p.group@bisa.ac.uk

We are also delighted to announce that Professor Alex Bellamy will be giving the keynote address.

Please note that this will be an in-person conference and it will be hosted by the University of Leeds on 18 November 2022.

After the conference, organisers will submit select papers for inclusion in a special issue of the Global Responsibility to Protect Journal.

BISA members attend free of charge. There will be a charge for non-members.
