The purpose of this session is to address the crucial steps in ensuring the effective navigation of the publishing process, including targeting the appropriate journal for your research, understanding the peer review process, and managing expectations.

Dr Tarela Ike - Tarela is a Senior Lecturer at Teesside University, UK and the Course Leader for the MA International Relations (including Applied route). She is also a multiple award-winning researcher, and her research interest includes deradicalization, countering violent extremism, peacekeeping, and the use of interdisciplinary approaches in addressing challenges to complex offenders’ reintegration into society and reintegration in post-conflict settings. Tarela has published both as first and co-author in numerous journals, including Third World Quarterly, Behavioural Sciences of Terrorism and Political Aggression, Dynamics of Asymmetric Conflict, Journal of Asian and African Studies among others. Tarela is also an associate editor in numerous journals, including Trends in Organised Crime, BMC Public Health and the Behavioural Sciences of Terrorism and Political Aggression.
