We were very sad to hear of the death of Professor Andrew Linklater on 5 March 2023. He helped shape BISA’s purpose and priorities in the early days of the Association and remained a loyal supporter of BISA right up to the present day. We will remember his last appearance at our 2019 annual conference and his huge contribution as an editorial board member of our book series – Cambridge Studies in International Relations.
A giant of British IR, he was a brilliant and thoughtful scholar, IR theorist, inspiring teacher, committed mentor, and a wonderfully generous and kind man. We will miss him.
