Work for us - Communications Intern

This article was published on

The British International Studies Association (BISA) is a leading voice in International Studies in the UK and abroad. We develop and promote the discipline through research, publications, events, academic networks and funding. We are a non-profit charity.

We are looking for a part-time Communications Intern to assist the current staff with a range of interesting activities including social media, writing copy for different audiences, creating and editing webpages using a content management system (CMS), assisting with events including our flagship annual conference, and general administration tasks such as the upkeep of spreadsheet lists. Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and some experience (or a willingness to learn) of working with social media, webpages, spreadsheets and databases is a requirement.

The internship would suit an organised, motivated and self-starting student of international relations/politics or related field (UG or PG) who could devote up to 8 hours a week (spread out) to the Association. These can be taken flexibly around your student commitments and working from home. An hourly rate of £12.50 is offered plus the opportunity to become engaged with the latest IR research through our research groups and our flagship annual conference.

If interested, please send a copy of your CV with a short statement explaining what you could bring to the post to Chrissie.Duxson@bisa.ac.uk by close of business on Friday 13 September 2024.
