After Yaoundé: what does WTO MC14 mean for development?
The BISA Global Politics & Development Working Group is pleased to invite you to an online discussion on the implications of the WTO’s 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) for developing countries and the wider development agenda.
Held shortly after MC14 in Yaoundé, this event will provide an opportunity to reflect on what the ministerial did—or did not—mean for development at a time of growing geopolitical tension, fragmentation in the global economy, and uncertainty surrounding the future of the multilateral trading system.
The discussion will consider questions such as: What, if anything, did MC14 deliver for developing countries? Which issues remained unresolved? And what does the conference reveal about the place of development within the WTO today?
Registration will close two hours before the event begins.
