Advance notice: Review of International Political Economy pre-conference virtual ECR workshop
We wanted to bring to your attention the call for papers for the second BISA virtual conference, taking place in January 2027. Submissions are open until Friday 19 June 2026 11.59pm (UK time).
BISA organisers welcome individual paper submissions, as well as pre-formed panels and roundtables. All submissions must be in English, and will require a title, description and details of all speakers. Take a look at the call for papers page to find out more about panel/roundtable composition, the conference tracks, and conference timeline:
The conference will be "virtually hosted" by the Department of International Politics at City St George's, University of London. The virtual conference will be in addition to the main #BISA2027 in-person conference taking place in June 2027.
The aim of the conference is to unite scholars from every corner of the world with the click of a button, making international collaboration easier and more accessible than ever before. BISA organisers hope to break down barriers for researchers at all career stages who, for various reasons including cost, care responsibilities and visa rules, might find it more difficult to participate in our in-person events.
We hope that you will participate in the virtual conference, and share the details with the colleagues in your department, and contacts further afield.
Review of International Political Economy (RIPE): Call for pre-conference virtual ECR workshop participants
Review of International Political Economy (RIPE) is honoured to be partnering with BISA for its virtual workshops. RIPE will hold an additional virtual ECR workshop in January 2027 to run alongside the BISA virtual conference. We particularly encourage scholars from the Global South to apply and will send out the call for participants later in the year, but participants will need to have a paper accepted to the BISA virtual conference to take part. Those accepted to the workshop will have their BISA virtual conference fees paid and will also receive a year’s BISA membership.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the BISA Conference in Brighton (3-5 June).
