IR Career Starters - May 2024
We're delighted that Alexander Borum, a Policy Leader Fellow for the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, has kindly agreed for us to reproduce his periodical list of internships, traineeships, fellowships and entry-level positions in IR on our website.
It is May, and for many, it is a hectic time of wrapping up thesis writing and cementing the end of years of studies. This new era ushers in new challenges, namely entering a particularly competitive industry in an already tough job market. To help out, I am once again happy to share hundreds of relevant new opportunities in international affairs for fresh graduates, current students, and young professionals already in the field.
While not engulfed in thesis writing myself, it has been quite a busy period, with several speaking engagements, workshops and a brief opinion piece published in Euronews. This has incurred a slight delay in the release of this month's newsletter, as I do aim to have it out on the first Thursday of each month - whenever possible - to start your month of job hunting in the best possible way; however, real-life obligations will take precedence so I might have to flex on these timings occasionally.
