Best Article in Review of International Studies Prize


This Prize is awarded annually by the editorial advisory board of the Review of International Studies (RIS) for the best article published in the previous year's volume of the journal. A selection committee comprising a chair and at least two other members of the editorial advisory board reviews each of the articles published in the previous year’s volume. The committee awards the prize to the article that it considers most convincingly satisfies the following criteria: 
- Highly original contribution to the field
- Methodologically rigorous
- Theoretically innovative
- Empirically rich
- Likely to be discipline shaping
The prize is awarded at the BISA annual conference, held in June each year.
