Announcing our new Post-92 forum

This article was published on

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new BISA forum for colleagues working in Post-92 institutions. The forum will meet around three times a year and is designed to strengthen the involvement of Post-92 institutions within BISA, as well as advocating for International Studies scholarship and teaching within Post-92 institutions in the UK.

The forum is thus established with the following two core aims:

  1. To support colleagues from UK Post-92 higher education institutions in developing and advocating for politics and international relations research and teaching. The forum aims to provide a supportive community for colleagues to discuss common challenges, ongoing risks, and opportunities specific to the health of Politics and International Relations disciplines within Post-92 institutions.
  2. To develop a scholarly community of practice for colleagues based in Post-92 institutions. The forum aims to promote and to further extend the benefits of BISA membership in our scholarly community – including representation at the annual conference and events – more widely to colleagues based at Post-92 institutions.

The forum will be chaired by Nick Caddick, Professor of Political Sociology at Anglia Ruskin University. Membership of the forum is open to all colleagues at any career stage working in Post-92 institutions.

The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 4 March from 4-5pm. If you would like to attend please register in order to receive the joining instructions. Please feel free to forward the event invitation to colleagues working in Post-92 UK universities.
