The BISA NGO Working Group held a workshop together with the NGO Study Group of the Development Studies Association (DSA) in Leeds on 23-24 April. The theme of the workshop was: Knowledge(s) in civil society organisations in development.
The workshop focused on identifying and clarifying what counts as knowledge in the NGO world. The workshop participants discussed various topics related to knowledge, such as use of evidence by NGOs, NGOs as brokers of knowledge in local communities, access to, management, and strategic use of knowledge by civil society organisations, and the documentation of knowledge within NGOs.
