The aim of our group is to promote dialogue and scholarly research on all aspects of Human Rights, Humanitarianism, and Responsibility to Protect. We seek to bring together academic researchers and practitioners to examine the legal, ethical, political and practical challenges associated with human rights and human protection broadly conceived.
We welcome diverse and interdisciplinary work that seeks to develop a wider understanding of global human protection activities as well as research that can help to bridge the worlds of academia and political commitment. We do this through regular organisation of research events, our section at the BISA conference, and our own annual working group conference. We also function as a network for the sharing of research, best practices and the organisation of new projects and grant applications.
